Trim Levels
The 2019 Dodge Challenger comes in six different trim levels: the base SXT, GT, R/T, the track-focused R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and the new SRT Hellcat Redeye. The R/T Scat Pack and the Hellcat models are offered in Narrow-Body and Wide-Body body styles. The new Dodge Challenger not only stays faithful to its roots in terms of performance; it also closely resembles the original model. Its round headlights and deeply inset grille make it look straight out of the 1970s, while its large rear haunches and slab sides add a touch of muscularity. The performance models look menacing with more aggressive fascias, hoods, and spoilers.

Engine
The engine lineup for the 2019 Dodge Challenger starts with a 350-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine that powers the SXT and GT. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear wheels or optionally all four wheels. Next up is the R/T's 5.7-liter V-8 engine that generates 375 horsepower with the standard six-speed transmission and 372 horsepower with the eight-speed automatic. Opt for the R/T Scat Pack and you will get a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that serves up an incredible 485 horsepower, enabling the car to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. The SRT Hellcat cuts the zero-to-60-mph time to 3.5 seconds with its 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine that produces a whopping 717 horsepower. Under the hood of the SRT Hellcat Redeye lies the 6.2-liter engine that used to power the Demon. Churning out a mind-blowing 797 horsepower, it propels the Redeye to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.3 seconds.

Performance
Despite its hefty weight, the 2019 Dodge Challenger is quite nimble around corners. It also delivers a smooth and composed ride over uneven surfaces, especially if you choose a model with a softer suspension. Each Challenger model has its own unique suspension tuning. The SXT rides softly and compliantly, while the GT, R/T, and R/T Scat Pack have firmer suspensions and better body control. The SRT Hellcat models are relatively soft and offer neutral handling to suit different types of driving styles on the track.

Interior
The 2019 Dodge Challenger features a spacious and well-built cabin with plenty of high-quality materials. It also offers 16.2 cubic feet of trunk space, which is more than the trunk capacities of many of the coupes and sedans out there. The car comes standard with a houndstooth cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an infotainment system with a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Safety Features
Standard safety equipment in the 2019 Dodge Challenger includes six air bags, hill-start assistance, and a rearview camera. With the exception of the SXT, every model also has rear parking assistance. Optional safety features include forward-collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic warning.
